Bishop Celebrates First Mass at Cathedral
Bishop Michael F. Burbidge was enthusiastically welcomed by parishioners at Sacred Heart Cathedral with the celebration of two Masses, followed by receptions.
Bishop Burbidge, who was installed as Bishop of Raleigh on Friday, was introduced and welcomed by Msgr. Jerry Sherba, cathedral rector.
Bishop Burbidge will celebrate Mass on the Outer Banks this weekend with liturgies at Holy Redeemer by the Sea Parish in Kitty Hawk and Holy Trinity by the Sea Parish in Nags Head.
